GLX 290

GLX 290 is an one component, acrylic based primer that impregnates and stabilizes cementitious mortars, creating a bonding bridge for materials will follow. It protects the surfaces from staining and prevents the absorption of water. It does not contain organic solvents. It is diluted only with water.

Consumption

50 g/m2 per coat. It depends on the type of surface.

Undiluted: 60-90g/m2 per coat

Diluted: For relatively smooth cementitious substrates (eg, cement-based floor screeds, plasters, etc.):

primer : water = 1:4  –  300-350 g/m2 per coat

primer : water = 1:3  –  350-4000 g/m2 per coat

For absorbent autoclave aerated concrete substrates:

primer : water = 1:4  –  400-450 g/m2 per coat

These consumption are indicative and depend on the type of substrate (absorption, smoothness, etc.) and the type of application.

• Suitable for coating surfaces before painting or repairs
• Used for pre-coating of surfaces that will be painted with plastic cement paint or other acrylic paints
• Impregnates cement based surfaces, plasters and absorbent surfaces to sufficient depth, creating an excellent adhesion bridge for subsequent coats
• For application of self-leveling floor products
• On surfaces prior to application of repair materials

• It controls water absorption on particularly absorbing mineral substrates prior to plastering, flooring and repairing works
• It allows substrates to breathe and protects surfaces against stains; prevents water absorption
• It is resistant to ageing
• It is resistant to oils and solvents
• It is fully compatible to alkaline surfaces and absolutely transparent after application

In a dry environment at temperatures above 0C for 12 months its production date.
