We should protect the surface terrace\u00a0from moisture to avoid further problems either at the surface of the concrete slab (terrace) or on the ceiling of the house (from the bottom of the roof) .<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do we do it?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To protect the surface from the standing water, we should apply the hybrid waterproofing membrane\u00a0FLX 388 PU, which offers high protection from moisture and is highly resistant to UV rays and mechanical stress.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Products used<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>GLX 292<\/p>\n<p>WRM 525<\/p>\n<p>WRM 518<\/p>\n<p>FLX 388 PU<\/p>\n<p>THRAKON FABRIC<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step by step<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thrakon.devlh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/terrace-with-cracks.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-24031\" src=\"https:\/\/thrakon.devlh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/terrace-with-cracks.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"222\" height=\"123\" title=\"\"><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thrakon.devlh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/terrace-without-cracks.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-24038\" src=\"https:\/\/thrakon.devlh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/terrace-without-cracks.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"222\" height=\"123\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Remove any loose from the concrete slab.<\/p>\n<p>Wash with plenty of water so as not to leave\u00a0any residues (dust, oil, grease) and any molds and algae that have been developed to the plate surface. Standing waters should be removed.<\/p>\n<p>Prime all surfaces with high penetration \u00a0acrylic primer GLX 292 FLEX PRIM. Large cracks (&gt; 5 mm) and gaps close with fiber reinforced repairing mortar WRM 525.<\/p>\n<p>At the corners of the barriers to the plate, creating with WRM 518\u00a0an appropriate curve so as not to let\u00a0water stand at\u00a0this point.<\/p>\n<p>When the surfaces dry thoroughly, \u00a0apply two layers crosswise with a roller the acrylic waterproofing emulsion FLX 388 PU.<\/p>\n<p>The first coat is applied diluted with 5% water.<\/p>\n<p>When the substrate is cracked strongly recommended that the THRAKON FABRIC with at least three layers of material, between the two coats of FLX 388 PU.<\/p>\n<p>If loads of moisture are\u00a0expected to be larger, then a third coat is applied.
